Luxor (Safaga), Egypt |

This section should be subtitled "A Study in Bus Window Camera Lens Reflections (with Background Accents of Orange Window Drapes)".
Someday, I should also put together a "Study of International Telephone Poles. Sign Posts, Trees, and Bushes,", but, unfortunately that would take YEARS to go through all the pictures I have accumulated in that category!!! |

The sunny, short, springtime sail from Salalah to Safaga was four days - southwest along the Saudi Peninsula and up into the Red Sea. Safaga lies about 2/3 of the way up along the coast Egypt along the Red Sea, and is about 140 miles east of Luxor, so docking there makes for a grueling 13 hour day of sightseeing - docking, traveling to Luxor, seeing some of the sights, and coming back to the ship. But it's worth it!! WELL WORTH IT !!! Safaga is a small but busy port on the edge of a range of rugged, barren, craggy mountains.
