The next day, after our Suez Canal adventure, we disembarked very very, very early in the morning (before 11) for the 130 mile journey up to Giza from Alexandria to see the Great Pyramids.

This used to be a 3 hour journey, but the completion of a new road has made a considerable dent in the travel time involved.

Be that as it may, the unique and bizarre modes of Egyptian transportation, that we had to navigate around, made the journey more than interesting, shall we say...
